Chris, a member of Moncton Fish & Game Association, caught this slink while fishing with Charlie LeBlanc president of the Moncton Fish & Game Assoc. Slink fishing was almost done, and that day it proved to be hard fishing, fighting the wind and trying to catch fish that already had bellies full of smelts. Charlie says “that not always does he catch one but someone does”, and this time that someone was Chris. This was the only fish caught that day and what made it extra special was that this fish had a DFO tag on it. Nice to have seen it survive the winter, as always this fish released. (Black Salmon caught at Northwest Miramichi on April 28, 2004).
Rod Currie, NBWF's Secretary and a proud member of Fredericton Fish & Game Association, caught this spring salmon on the Bartibog River in 2003. He used a Miramichi Smelt spring salmon fly to land this nice salmon. It weighed approximately 8 lbs.
Wyatt Horsman, also a member of Moncton Fish & Game Association, with a nice Smallmouth Bass caught at the bridge in Salisbury. There wasn’t many trout that day but these fellers fight hard and are lots of fun. Wyatt encourages everyone to try these if there isn’t anything else biting.

He submitted this photo of his 2002 buck that he harvested near Plaster Rock. He quotes: "It was nice 8 pointer with a spread of 20 inches and weighing in at 218lbs. I'm pretty proud of this kill because I placed my stand after scouting the area and finding sheds from the previous year...
NBWF Activities
NBWF Branches are requested to submit photos suitable for display on this site of any activity that they are involved with. Along with the pictures, please provide a brief description of the activity, including the date activity held, number of participants, location and purpose of activity.
On May 29, 2004 the Moncton Fish & Game Association held, what is becoming their, Annual Pig Roast. The Centennial Rotary Lodge graciously donated their facilities for this event. The pig and cooker was donated by Metz farm in Canaan. As well, Hans and Becky Christensen stuffed the pig with a beautiful apple and cranberry stuffing.
For those not fussy about the pig BBQ, chicken also was served. An assortment of salads and vegetable with a fresh roll complimented the main course. To round off the dinner, a Strawberry/Rhubarb Crisp topped ice cream was offered. For those with a dietary concern, a diabetic desert was also available. The deserts were donated by Jeanette Gaudet.
Sixty people were on hand to partake of the festivities. The profit of $410.00 will be used to sponsor our youth to attend NBWF's Outdoor Heritage Camp this year.
Now that we have got your attention, we look forward to seeing you all next year.
Thanks a million to all who donated, volunteered and attended our Second Annual Pig Roast.
